Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme in Big Data Management and Analytics (BDMA)

Our Master’s Degree in Data Science participates into the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme in Big Data Management and Analytics (BDMA). BDMA is a unique programme that fully covers all of the data management and analytics aspects of Big Data (BD), built on top of Business Intelligence (BI) foundations, and complemented with horizontal skills. It has been jointly designed and adheres to international studies, being structured to cover all the skills BI and BD specialists require.

If you are interested in studying Data Science at University of Padua, and also in the experience of studying during the first year at University of Brussels, and Technical University of Catalunya, consider applying for the program. In the last semester of the program students are required to take an internship at a private firm, a public institutions or at a research lab. The related work will be reported in the Master Thesis, to be written under the supervision of a professor.

Rules for thesis and final exam

The final exam consists in the presentation of the Master Thesis to the Committee of the Final Exam (“Committee” in what follows). The thesis (15 CFU) can be based on the internship (15 CFU) that may take place in a company or other private/public institutions, including the University of Padova,  offering to the student the possibility to work on a subject related to Data Science.
